The spoken language systems group has two vacant postions. We are
looking for a

       post-doctoral researcher

and a
       PhD candidate

Task: Research on Robust Speech Recognition

In addition to classical speech research this could also involve
integrating other modalities like computer vision.


- Good programming skills
- Degree (PhD or M.Sc./diploma depending on position) in computer
science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, computational
linguistics or comparable areas

Saarland University

The university is located in Saarbrücken, Germany, close to the French
border. It has about 17000 students nearly 3000 coming from abroad. The
university has a strong emphasis on computer science and language

Spoken Language Systems Group

The group was launched in May 2003. It focuses on
man-machine-interaction and in particular on the use of speech
recognition for improved user-interfaces. The second main theme is
speech/language understanding and dialogue systems.
