National Workshop on Artificial Intelligence
Call for Papers
2-4 July, 2006, Mumbai
The Computer Society of India (CSI) Special Interest Group on Artificial Intelligence (SIGAI), announces a national workshop with the following objectives:
To provide a platform for academics and industry in India to share research and developments in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
To encourage Indian researchers in AI (from academia and industry) to submit papers to the forthcoming IJCAI-07 conference (http://www.ijcai-07.org) to be held in India.
About the Workshop
The workshop will provide an ideal forum for Indian researchers in AI, to evaluate their research work for possible submission to IJCAI-07 conference and get feedback from peers and experts in the field. IJCAI conference, the biggest AI conference series in the world, is coming to India, for the first time, in January 2007. It provides an excellent opportunity for Indian research community to interact closely with the major research groups abroad, and to showcase our strengths in this area. The workshop will consist of invited talks and presentations of papers selected based on careful refereeing. Papers will be accepted in regular and poster categories. There will be a set of tutorials on 2nd July.
Mentoring to facilitate submission of papers to IJCAI'07
During the refereeing, there will be special emphasis on mentoring the papers for possible submission to IJCAI-07. An international panel of mentors is being setup for this purpose.
Papers are invited on various aspects of AI, with particular emphasis on the following areas:
Natural Language Processing
Planning and Scheduling
