Three PhD students in speech science and technology
at the School of Computer Science and Communication, KTH, Stockholm, Sweden

The Department of Speech, Music and Hearing is recruiting up to three
PhD students working in the areas of acoustic speech synthesis,
multimodal synthesis of computer-animated talking heads and
articulatory-acoustic modeling. Descriptions of the areas are available

A Master's degree in computer science, engineering physics, electronics
or similar is a suitable background. Previous experience in programming,
phonetics, acoustics and signal processing is a merit. Additional
specific qualifications for each of the positions are listed at the web
page provided above. The position requires good mastery of English in
both writing and speaking. One criterion for selection is the
applicant’s estimated ability to finish the PhD studies in time.

A PhD student position is for 5 years maximum, typically including 20%

experiences and qualifications (with a grade transcript) as well as a
description of the applicant’s interest in the position. A copy of the
applicant's Master Thesis and any other publications should be
submitted, as should the names and contact information to two
references, e.g. the supervisor for the Master Thesis. Letters of
recommendation are welcome, since they will facilitate the evaluation.
