Submission Deadline Extended to June 9, 2010
The Second International Workshop on Spoken Dialogue System Technology
(IWSDS 2010) will be held at Gotemba Kogen Resort in the Fuji area, Japan
from October 1 - 2 as a satellite workshop the INTERSPEECH2010 conference.
The workshop will provide an international forum for the presentation
of research and applications and for lively discussions among researchers
as well as industrialists.
Papers in the workshop proceedings will be published by Springer
in their Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence (LNAI) series.
This year's workshop designates "Spoken Dialogue Systems for Ambient
as a special theme of
There will be two invited talks related to the topic
by Prof. Ramon Lopez-Cozar Delgado (Universidad de Granada)
and by Prof. Tetsunori Kobayashi (Waseda University).
We would also like to encourage the discussion of common issues of theories,
applications, evaluation, limitations, general tools and techniques.
Discussion papers that critically evaluate approaches or processing
and prototype demonstrations are especially welcome.

=== Paper Submission
We distinguish between the following categories of submission.
- Long Research Papers are reserved for reports on mature research
The expected length of a long paper should be in the range of 8-12
- Short Research Papers should not exceed 6 pages in total.
Authors may choose this category if they wish to report on smaller
or ongoing but interesting and original research efforts
- Demo Submissions - System Papers: Authors who wish to demonstrate
their system during IWSDS10 may choose this category
and provide a description of their system, installation, or demo.
System papers should be 2 pages in total.
Please format your paper according to the Springer guidelines.
The paper doesn't necessarily be strictly anonymous.
Authors are requested to submit PDF files of their manuscripts
using the paper submission system.
